    Itinerary

Day 1:Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Boumalne

The 3 days camel trekking Marrakech to Erg Chebbi begins as you leave the bustling city of Marrakech and ascend the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, reaching an altitude of over 2,200 meters. The winding mountain road presents sweeping views of rugged peaks, terraced slopes, and remote Berber villages, making it a photographer’s dream.

Your first stop is Ait Ben Haddou, an iconic ksar built from red clay and stone, perfectly preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Walking through its labyrinthine alleys, towers, and fortified homes, you will get a glimpse of ancient Moroccan architecture and imagine the caravans that once passed through this trading hub.

After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, the road continues to the Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic gorges, rock formations, and lush pockets of greenery. The valley’s twisting roads and steep cliffs offer a breathtaking contrast to the desert landscapes that lie ahead. Dinner and overnight will be in a cozy mountain auberge, surrounded by the natural beauty and tranquility of the Atlas Mountains.

    Day 2:Boumalne – Tinghir – Erg Chebbi

The day begins with a scenic drive toward the Todra Gorges, one of Morocco’s most striking canyons. Towering cliffs rise over 300 meters, flanking a narrow river, creating a dramatic and unforgettable panorama. Take time to walk along the gorge floor, admire the rock formations, and snap photos of this natural masterpiece.

Continuing east, the landscape gradually transforms into desert terrain, with the first dunes of Erg Chebbi coming into view. The vast golden sands stretch as far as the eye can see, marking your entry into the Sahara. In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the dunes, where you can watch the sun dip below the horizon, painting the desert in fiery reds and golds.

Evening in the Sahara is spent at Auberge du Sud, a traditional desert lodge offering stunning views over the dunes. Savor a Moroccan dinner as the stars emerge above, and let the serenity of the desert night create an unforgettable memory.

    Day 3:Erg Chebbi – Alnif – Agdz – Marrakech

Rise early to enjoy the desert’s peaceful morning light and a final stroll through the dunes. After breakfast, the journey back to Marrakech begins, taking a scenic route through the Drâa Valley, passing charming Berber villages such as Alnif and Agdz. This verdant valley, dotted with palm groves and traditional kasbahs, provides a beautiful contrast to the desert landscapes.

Continue through Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara,” with its desert backdrop and cinematic history. The route then ascends once again through the High Atlas Mountains, offering panoramic views of the valleys and peaks before descending toward Marrakech. Arrival in the city marks the end of the tour, leaving travelers with lasting memories of Morocco’s mountains, deserts, and historic treasures.
