Day 1:Arrival in Fes

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your charming riad inside the old city. In the afternoon, you can choose to join a private guided tour led by a certified local expert—an invaluable experience in a medina with nearly 9,000 alleyways.

Day 2:Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Erg Chebbi (Sahara Desert)

Your 5 day sahara trip continues as you leave the bustle of Fes and start your journey toward Morocco’s Sahara. The first stop brings you to Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” known for its alpine-style chalets, clean streets, and crisp mountain air. Shortly afterward, the scenery deepens into the Middle Atlas, where you traverse the ancient cedar forest of Azrou, home to centuries-old trees and playful Barbary macaques.

As the landscapes open into sweeping desert plateaus, the road leads to Merzouga, gateway to the famous Erg Chebbi dunes. By late afternoon, you’ll reach your Auberge, built in charming Saharan style and surrounded by golden sand. Enjoy a warm Moroccan dinner and unwind beneath a sky filled with stars.

Day 3: Full Day to Explore the Erg Chebbi Region

Today is dedicated entirely to discovering life in the Sahara. The experience begins in Khamlia, a village known for its Gnawa musicians whose rhythms reflect ancient African traditions. Later, you’ll head deeper into the desert to visit a nomadic family, joining them for a traditional tea as you learn about their daily life in this vast environment.

The tour continues past fossil fields, serene oases, and the largest lake in the region. There’s even an opportunity to venture onto part of the old Paris–Dakar rally routes, adding a touch of adventure to your day. Return to your Auberge for dinner and another tranquil night in the dunes.

Day 4:Erg Chebbi - Alnif - Agdz - Ouarzazate

After witnessing an unforgettable sunrise over the dunes, you’ll begin your journey westward. The route passes through the quiet town of Alnif before continuing toward Agdz, a gateway to the lush and iconic Drâa Valley, a region filled with palm groves, mud-brick villages, and dramatic desert scenery.

In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Ouarzazate, a city long associated with film studios and desert kasbahs. Here you’ll visit the historic Kasbah Taourirt, once home to the powerful Glaoui family. Its maze-like rooms and fortified walls offer a fascinating window into southern Moroccan architecture.

Day 5:Ouarzazate - Tizi n’Tichka Pass - Marrakech

Your final travel day leads you through the imposing High Atlas Mountains, following winding roads that climb toward the Tizi n’Tichka pass one of Morocco’s most scenic routes. Along the way, you’ll enjoy shifting landscapes filled with red canyons, terraced fields, and Berber villages clinging to the hillsides.

By afternoon, you’ll arrive in Marrakech, where your driver will take you to your riad.
