An early start allows you to witness the sunrise from the top of a dune, an extraordinary moment as the desert glows with soft golden light. After breakfast, you return by camel to the auberge before beginning the journey toward Fes.
The route leads through the stunning Ziz Valley, known for its sweeping palm groves and dramatic cliffs shaped by centuries of water flow. Several viewpoints offer fantastic photo opportunities as the valley stretches into the horizon.
Continuing north, the road climbs into the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through the town of Midelt, an area known for its orchards and mountain vistas. As you approach Ifrane, the landscape changes once again cedar forests, clean streets, and alpine-style houses give this town the nickname “Switzerland of Morocco.”
By late afternoon or early evening, you arrive in Fes, where you will be dropped off at your riad, marking the end of this unforgettable Sahara journey.
