    Itinerary

    Day 1:Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Erg Chebbi

Your 3 days camel trekking from Fes to Marrakech begins with a drive south, showing you how the land changes from Fes’s city life to the peaceful mountains of the Middle Atlas.

Your first stop is Ifrane, a town known for its clean streets, European-style homes, and cool weather. It’s often called “Morocco’s Switzerland” because of its alpine feel, making it one of the most surprising places in North Africa.

As you continue into the mountains, the road leads to the cedar forests of Azrou, where old trees stand tall and wild Barbary macaques play around. The fresh air and big trees make for a great walk and photo opportunity.

As the land changes to rocky plains and warm desert tones, you approach Merzouga, the gateway to the vast sands of Erg Chebbi.

By late afternoon, you arrive at a beautiful auberge at the foot of the dunes. The golden colors of the Sahara frame the view as you enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal and rest in your stylish Saharan room, your first taste of desert life.

Day 2:Full Day Exploring Erg Chebbi

This day is all about discovering the culture and beauty of the surroundings. After breakfast, you’ll tour the Erg Chebbi region, starting with a visit to Khamlia, a small village known for its Gnawa musicians whose deep, spiritual music has been part of history for centuries. You’ll get to listen to their music and learn more about their traditions.

The drive continues across the desert, leading you to remote nomadic families who still live in traditional tents. Sharing tea with them gives you a special look at how people live in the Sahara. You’ll also pass old sites where minerals and fossils were found, showing the desert’s rich history.

Later, you’ll visit one of the region’s hidden treasures the seasonal Lake of Merzouga, which attracts migratory birds when it’s full. The nearby oases bring a burst of green to the golden landscape. In the late afternoon, your camel caravan is ready.

You’ll ride gently through the dunes as the light fades, creating unforgettable views. After watching the sunset from the center of the desert, you arrive at your private Berber-style camp. Dinner is served under a star-filled sky, followed by a peaceful night in your nomadic tent.

Day 3:Erg Chebbi - Dades - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After a calm night in the dunes, you’ll have breakfast before starting your drive toward Marrakech. The route offers amazing views as you cross the Dades region, known for its dramatic rock formations and green valleys.

You’ll soon reach Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous ksar and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its ancient earth walls have appeared in many films and shows, making it a fascinating place to walk and explore.

From there, the journey continues through Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” before climbing into the High Atlas Mountains. The winding roads and sweeping views make this part of the trip especially memorable. By late afternoon, you descend into the lively city of Marrakech, marking the end of your unforgettable Sahara adventure.
