    Itinerary

Day 1:Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorges

As the altitude rises, the landscape changes from green valleys to rugged peaks dotted with small Berber villages. Along the route, you’ll have several opportunities to stop for photos and enjoy breathtaking views.

By late morning, the road leads toward Ait Ben Haddou, the most famous ksar in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage treasure. You’ll wander through its maze of earthen alleys, admire its towering kasbahs, and see why it has been featured in films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

After exploring the site, the journey continues toward the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and winding roads carved into deep canyons. Upon arriving in the Dades Gorges area, you’ll settle into a mountainside auberge where dinner awaits. Spend the evening relaxing in a peaceful setting surrounded by cliffs and unique rock formations.

Day 2:Dades Gorges – Todra Canyon – Erg Chebbi

The day begins with beautiful morning views over the Dades Mountains before heading east toward one of Morocco’s greatest natural wonders: Todra Gorges. Towering walls of limestone rise dramatically on both sides, creating a narrow canyon where the light shifts beautifully throughout the day. You’ll have time to walk through the gorge, admire the sheer cliffs, and soak in the refreshing atmosphere.

By afternoon, the scenery gradually transforms as you approach the edges of the Sahara. Small villages give way to vast open plains until the first golden dunes of Erg Chebbi appear on the horizon. Your accommodation, a traditional auberge located at the foot of the dunes—offers a perfect view of the desert landscape.

After a relaxing evening atmosphere, enjoy dinner while watching the colors of the dunes shift with the setting sun.

Day 3:Full Exploration of Erg Chebbi

This entire day is dedicated to discovering the diverse landscapes and rich culture surrounding Erg Chebbi. You will begin with a visit to Khamlia, a small desert village known for its Gnawa musicians whose rhythms reflect the traditions of Sub-Saharan Africa.

From there, your guide will take you across the desert plains to meet a nomadic family, giving you a glimpse into the daily life of people who still live in the Sahara following centuries-old traditions. You may also explore areas filled with ancient fossils and stop at the region’s largest seasonal lake, a beautiful contrast to the golden dunes when water is present.

As the afternoon approaches, prepare for the magical part of the day: a camel trek deep into the dunes. The slow, rhythmic movement of the camels and the golden light of sunset create an unforgettable moment. Your desert camp awaits in the heart of the dunes with traditional Berber tents, a warm dinner, music by the fire, and a sky overflowing with stars.

Day 4:Sahara Sunrise – Ziz Valley – Ifrane – Fes

An early wake-up allows you to witness one of the Sahara’s unforgettable sights: the sunrise from the top of a dune. After breakfast at the camp, you will ride the camels back to the auberge where your journey toward northern Morocco resumes.

The road leads through the Ziz Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and dramatic ridges. After crossing the desert region, the landscape shifts once again as you enter the Middle Atlas Mountains. Villages grow greener, forests appear, and the air becomes cooler.

You’ll pass through Midelt, known for its apple orchards, and later through Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture and clean alpine atmosphere. By late afternoon, the trip concludes as you arrive in Fes, where you will be dropped off at your riad.
