    Itinerary

Day 1:Arrival in Fes & Guided City Exploration

Your 4 Days Tour From Fes to Marrakech begins the moment you land in Fes, where you’re welcomed and transferred to your traditional riad. Once settled, you can choose to discover the soul of the city through an optional guided tour led by an official expert who knows every corner of the medina.

Fes el-Bali protected by UNESCO is one of the world’s most fascinating living medieval cities. With nearly 9,000 narrow streets, it can feel like a world within a world. Walking through its gates transports you into a maze of artisans’ workshops, ancient caravanserais, and spiritual spaces shaped over a thousand years.

You’ll wander past the famous Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and University, one of the oldest educational institutions still operating on the planet, and continue toward the historical tanneries, where leather is still dyed using traditional methods. From a panoramic terrace, you’ll get a clear view of this colorful, centuries-old craft.

    Day 2:Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Erg Chebbi - Sahara Desert

Your 4 day desert trip begins as you leave Fes and head south across dramatic changes in scenery. The first major stop is Ifrane, a mountain town whose European architecture, clean streets, and cool air make it feel almost unreal compared to Morocco’s typical landscapes.

Further along, the road winds into the Azrou cedar forest, famous for its towering ancient trees and resident Barbary macaques. It’s a peaceful, fresh, and green haven that contrasts beautifully with the desert awaiting you farther south.

As you cross the Middle Atlas, the terrain gradually becomes rocky and dry, revealing desert plateaus and distant dunes. By late afternoon, the golden waves of Erg Chebbi appear on the horizon, your first glimpse of the Sahara.

Your accommodation is a charming auberge located right at the foot of the dunes. Here, you’ll enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner and settle into your Saharan-style room, surrounded by silence, starlight, and the peaceful energy of the desert.

Day 3:Full Day Desert Discovery - Erg Chebbi Region

This entire day is dedicated to exploring the desert and learning about the rich culture of the nomadic communities who call it home. Your first stop is the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa musicians whose rhythmic, spiritual music is a living tradition brought by their ancestors.

From there, you travel across the desert plains to visit a nomadic family, sharing tea and stories while gaining insight into their simple, resilient way of life. The region is also known for its abundance of ancient fossils, found scattered across the desert remnants of a prehistoric ocean.

Depending on the season, you may also stop at Dayet Srij, the area’s largest seasonal lake, which sometimes fills with flamingos and migratory birds. For adventurers, there’s an exciting chance to drive part of the old Paris–Dakar route, an iconic off-road experience through rugged dunes and open desert landscapes. Return to your auberge in the evening for dinner and another restful night in your Saharan-style room.

Day 4:Erg Chebbi - Ziz Valley - Tunnel of the Legionnaire - Fes

After breakfast, begin the journey northward. The road passes through a region of oasis towns before reaching the magnificent Ziz Valley, home to Morocco’s largest palm grove. From a scenic viewpoint, you can take in the dramatic contrast between lush greenery and steep canyon walls carved by the river over centuries.

Your drive continues through the Tunnel of the Legionnaire, an impressive passage carved in the 1930s that leads straight into the heart of the valley’s rock formations. As the landscapes transform again, you ascend into more mountainous scenery before arriving back in Fes late in the afternoon. Once transferred to your hotel, your memorable 4 Days Tour From Fes to Marrakech comes to an end.
